Dalton graduated college from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Physical Education and Health. Dalton feels his greatest achievement is being a first-generation college graduate.
When asked "why did you want to be a teacher?" Mr. Elmore responded, " I wanted to be a teacher because of the impact and positive influence previous coaches and teachers have had on my life. I honestly do not think I would be where I am today had it not been for those teachers pushing me to accomplish things I had thought to be impossible. Also, maturing at an early age, I was a big helper with my family supporting my little brother. Seeing the progress he made throughout the process always made me feel good. Though it wasn’t me accomplishing the objective, I felt as if I played a big part in him getting through it. The self-gratitude I got from that, drew me to education because I loved the feeling of helping someone else get from point A to B and seeing them grow beyond what they thought they were capable of achieving.
Mr. Elmore's favorite hobby is running, he said he enjoys this because it helps clear his mind and relax. enjoy running because it helps to clear my mind and relax.
